Entered into rest peacefully on Saturday July 25th, with his loving wife Catherine Hennings by his side. Clark, 83, battled Cancer along with Parkinson’s Disease, and fought with bravery and determination right up to the end. He was still playing Wordle everyday, following the Blue Jays, eating his favourite foods, watching his favourite TV shows, and keeping up on the latest news. Clark’s love of the outdoors did not vanish as he became increasingly confined to his home, and he enjoyed looking outside, spending time on the deck, and admiring the yard of which he was so proud. Most recently, this love for the outdoors and his desire to be in nature, was honoured by the We Are Young wish-for-seniors foundation, who granted Clark his final wish of going fishing in Algonquin Park on July 8th, accompanied by Catherine, his favourite friend Teresa, and a surprise visit by his sister-in-law Beth and her husband Paul. It was a beautiful final trip back to a place that he loved, surrounded by trees, birds, quiet, and peaceful scenery. Clark is deeply loved and will be forever missed by his wife Catherine with whom he enjoyed 27 years of great times, travel, and a special relationship that grew stronger with each passing year and was steadfast and unbreakable right to the end. Clark also leaves behind his daughter Sheri Harbridge (Andrew), his granddaughters Sharayah Harbridge and Karissa Harbridge, his sister-in-law Beth Hennings (Paul Barrie), his brother-in-law Mark Hennings, Roderick Barrie (Rija), many nieces and nephews, and his dear friends Teresa and Gary Ralph. Predeceased by his parents, William and Mary Jewell, his sister Lillian, and his brother Howard. Clark was born and raised in Lindsay and comes from a long line of Jewell family who settled to the area in the mid-1800s. The family of Clark Jewell received friends at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street in Lindsay, on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 10 - 11 a.m. A service to celebrate his life was held in the chapel at 11 a.m. with Brian Farmer officiating. Private interment at Riverside Cemetery in Lindsay. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by cheque through the funeral home or online to Parkinson Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, or the We Are Young charitable organization. Catherine would like to thank Paramed, Community Care Hospice Services and the Palliative Care Team, Lindsay Paramedic Services, NP Della Hare, Doctors Carruthers and Stone, Nurse Tracy Coulter, PSW Crystal Johnston, and all those who supported Clark and herself through the challenges he faced.
