Joan Marie Arnott (née Staples) passed away peacefully at Caressant Care after a courageous battle with cancer, in her 76th year. She is predeceased by her loving husband Norman Arnott of 54 years. Treasured mother of Donald (Sara) of Lindsay, and Michael (Carolyn) of Airdrie, Alberta. She will be missed by her grandkids, and many nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed by her twin sister Janet (Shawn), predeceased by her brothers Bob (Helen), and Bert (Lorie) and survived by her brother George. She is also survived by her sisters Evelyn (Don), Nancy (Steve), Bonnie (Paul, predeceased). Joan is predeceased by her parents Ivan and Doris Staples of Kirkfield, Ontario. Fondly remembered by Norman’s sisters and brothers, and their families. A visitation was held at the Mackey Funeral Home on Monday, October 26th from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. A funeral service at 3:00pm, and burial at Riverside Cemetery followed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Donations can be made online or by cheque through the Mackey Funeral Home.
