Passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026 in her 93rd year. She was the daughter of William and Luella Maughan (predeceased). Sister of Jessie Clarey (Dave), Mary Flanningan (Scotty), Margie Kidd (Walker), and brother Bruce Maughan. Lila was married to Donald Tompkins until his passing in 1963. Lila remarried in 1971 to Elwood "Sixty" Coombs. She raised his daughters; Betty Thacker (Randy) and Bonnie Fitzgerald (Craig), which became her own special daughters and son Jeff Coombs (Keri). Lila was also the step-mother of Gord Coombs (Rhonda), Doug Coombs (Sharon), the late Jim Coombs (2007) (Susan). Lila will be missed by her extended family and friends. A visitation took place at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Friday, October 2nd from 11:00am until time of funeral service in the chapel at 12:00pm. A light reception followed. A private family graveside service took place at Riverside Cemetery. If desired, a memorial donation can be made to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation, or the Alzheimer's Society of Kawartha Lakes, which would be appreciated by her family.
