Robert Thomas Bennett, affectionately known as “Conway,” passed away at his home in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, following a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario, Bob was the beloved husband of the late Catherine Helen Bennett and a devoted father to Michael and Scott. He was the cherished son of Harry and Helen Bennett and the brother of Ron, Pat, Barb, and Joan. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Teddy, who was a cherished companion.

Bob spent a lifetime working in the trucking industry, a career of which he was immensely proud. Over the years, he worked for Ed Smith Ltd., L Ritchie Cartage, McCord/LaFarge, and CBM.

Known for his incredible sense of humour, Bob was an outgoing and social person who loved being around friends and family. The dozens of people who came to visit him during his final weeks were a testament to how highly regarded and genuinely loved he was by so many.

Bob was an avid stock car racing and NASCAR fan throughout his life. He also took great pride in repairing small engines and spent many enjoyable years working out of his garage, putting his knowledge and skills to good use.

Bob will be remembered for his hard work, his independence, his wonderful sense of humour, and the many friendships he built throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, Teddy, and all those who were fortunate enough to know him.
