Two arrested following break and enter investigation in Lindsay

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, Aug. 25, members of the Kawartha Lakes Police Service responded to two separate calls involving a theft and a break and enter in the area of Kent Street East in Lindsay.

Through the investigation, officers reviewed CCTV footage and gathered evidence that led to the identification of suspects and the location of stolen property. Investigators subsequently obtained and executed a search warrant at a residence connected to the investigation.

As a result, the stolen property was recovered and two individuals were arrested and charged under the Criminal Code of Canada. Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing.

A male from Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Trespass by Night, Section 177
  • Theft Under $5,000, Section 334(b)
  • Break and Enter, Section 348(1)(b)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Section 354(1)(a)
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order, Section 733.1(1)
  • Trafficking in Property Obtained by Crime, Section 355.5(b)

A female from Lindsay has been charged with:

  • Trespass by Night x2, Section 177
  • Theft Under $5,000 x2, Section 334(b)
  • Break and Enter, Section 348(1)(b)
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2, Section 354(1)(a)
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2, Section 733.1(1)
